Thank you so much for sharing your children with me! Support from parents/guardians is an essential component of a student's success. I encourage parents to get involved in their child's education however they can. Communication is important in creating a strong home-school bond. I always welcome parents into my classroom and love to have visitors, so feel free to stop by and see what we are doing. If you would like to volunteer on a regular basis in our classroom, please contact me to schedule a time. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact me through phone, email, notes, or stopping by before or after school.
There are several things you can do to help make school a more enjoyable experience for your child. First of all, getting a good night's rest is essential to a healthy mind and body. Doctors recommend that children at this age should be getting 10-12 hours of sleep each night. Supporting school learning can also help your child succeed. Choose some fun activities that provide good learning experiences. Challenge them with thoughtful questions and problems to solve. Make reading a part of your daily routine. You can read with your child, create a reading environment with plenty of reading materials, and set an example by showing your child that you are also a reader. But, most importantly, spend some quality time with them. Enjoy the small moments you can capture with your child in between all of your busy life events. They grow up so quickly.
